Imaging centres throughout Ontario depend on CPDC for daily deliveries of high quality molecular imaging probes and for the growing availability of its radiopharmaceuticals—probes and targeted therapeutics made from medical isotopes. The Centre has become one of the industry’s most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of 18F-FDG and 18F-Sodium Fluoride*, while working to introduce new diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. We are currently manufacturing and validating a number of investigational probes for preclinical and clinical trials at leading health care institutions in Ontario.
CPDC’s talented teams are committed to expanding the number and the availability of probes in Canada through our own development efforts, through partnerships with academia and industry, and by leveraging our discovery, regulatory and production capabilities to bring internationally proven probe technologies to Canada.
Our probes are manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at CPDC’s cyclotron facilities and nuclear pharmacy, which holds a drug establishment license from Health Canada. A rigorous quality system governs all aspects of manufacturing, testing and sterility assurance and ensures that probes are produced in full compliance with Health Canada GMP regulations.
