Call for Proposals

The CPDC’s second annual Call for Proposals gives eligible researchers an opportunity to apply for access to the Centre’s probe development and commercialization services.

Services include development of new labeling and analytical chemistry methods, biological testing, scale-up and validation of manufacturing processes, preparation of probe development plans and regulatory submissions. Depending on the scope of the proposals submitted, the Centre anticipates funding two to five Investigator-Sponsored Research projects per year.

Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR) Projects

Eligible applicants are encouraged to submit projects to the CPDC. All ISR projects will be selected through a Project Selection Process to ensure that projects align with the Project Selection Criteria.

All ISR projects will be carried out at the Centre except when specialized equipment or services are required. In those cases, the CPDC will provide funding (for sub-contracts) needed to support the proposed activities. Where appropriate, the Centre will advise investigators that they must apply for parallel funding from at least one additional funding agency to help offset costs.

Those agencies may include the Canadian Institutes of Research Proof of Principle Program, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada I2I Program, the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research Intellectual Property Development and Commercialization Program, National Research Council Canada, the C4 Network or other comparable commercialization programs.
