The CPDC is dedicated to building Canada's capacity in the research and development of molecular imaging probe technology. To facilitate that growth, the CPDC will be creating new opportunities to further the development of Canada's current researchers and encourage young scientists to choose this field of study.

In early 2009, the CPDC launched its first Call for Proposals, targeted at researchers focused on molecular imaging probes and associated technologies. Successful applicants will have the chance to work at the CPDC's facilities with the help of Centre experts.
